During my sojourn my vision you shall guide,
Pure comforting language, your names provide;
Steering from sin, your strong shoulders serve anchor,
Fear, loneliness that your fine "vEl" will conquer;
For, your sharp spear does direct and steer
To speak the language of truth clear;
Thus uttering your many names my lord,
My sins of past I shall surely ward;
Your dozen shoulders at this critical time
Lend solace and grace in a spirit sublime;
Guru, Peacock Prince! my glowing six-faced friend
Murugan in form majestic: my Messiah to the end!
