Horoscope with 10 Year's Prediction

Compared to last year, the number of summer camps has increased significantly. These summer camps have become a source of enjoyment for children and adults alike.

Though this is yet another training camp, it is different from the others. Each of the camps is specifically for any one activity, whereas the Vikro Hobby Centre in Ashok Nagar teaches almost everything!

About 65 children in the age group of 3-12 years are participating in the summer coaching camp organised by Vikro and have found a good way of spending their vacation usefully and are enjoying it too.

The children shout, happily, in unison, "no homework, enjoy"! Children are taught karate, slokas, painting, bharatanatyam, western dance, speed mathematics, making of handicrafts, etc.

What about the fees? A bit on the higher side - Rs. 800 per month. Justified, considering the package. Classes are form 9 am to 1 pm. Qualified teachers are available and all the subjects are taught every day.

"We do not believe the fees is high. Children love to attend this programme. Parents are only too pleased to put their wards in our camp. A number of training camps have proliferated in Chennai, in recent times. Not all of them are run by qualified people, whereas we have been conducting this training camp from 1992."

"Children feel at home, in our camp. We don't burden them with homework. We teach the children a wide range of topics and help them to develop and grow in their areas of interest. We are into event management also. Mrs. Chennai was organised by us. Since I am the President of the Ashok Nagar Women's Association, I organise cultural events too."

"The aim is to make children spend their time productively and at the same time enjoy what they are doing," says Poornima Surendrakumar, who hails from Andhra Pradesh.

"There is also a gym for ladies. "We encourage participation of married women in a number of activities," adds Poornima.

When the schools are open, we conduct these classes on Saturdays and Sundays. Though there are a few parents who put their children in Vikro, just so that they can be free, for a while, most parents send their kids there so that the kids can learn something useful.

With about 65 kids under one roof, one doesn't need any great imagination to visualise the atmosphere! When we heard a I std. kid, Suman, say 'no homework here, uncle, I'm enjoying myself', we couldn't but agree.

'Yes! They are really enjoying themselves here'!
