The Sathya Sai Brindavanam was inaugurated by Sri Sathya Sai Seva organisation all-India president V Srinivasan at Chitlapakkam, off Tambaram, recently.

Sathya Sai Brindavanam, a community centre built by his devotees in Mahalakshmi Nagar, called Sathya Sai Samithi, stands today after four years of hard work to make a dream become a reality.

Srinivasan, all-India president of Sri Sathya Sai seva trust, said, "I am blessed by God Baba to be among you on this occasion. Everyone in this universe is blessed by Bhagwan Baba. Everyone is equal before God."

The community centre was inaugurated on Ekadasi day in the Tamil month of Margazhi, which is an auspicious month, he pointed out. He urged the Sai sevakas to act as role models for others.

Ramani, Tamil Nadu state president, said, "There is some service being done by Sai devotees in some part of the world everyday. Bhagwan Baba has blessed each and everyone of you with His divine grace from Puttaparthi. God is omnipresent, so Baba is here now. I am proud to say that every two out of three person in this country are Sai devotees."

Ramani said the Mahalakshmi Nagar samithi was performing well and has being doing yeomen service to the people of the locality.

He urged the president of the samithi to bring more and more youths under the umbrella of Sathya Sai and teach them the good values of life and how they should become role models.

Kalyana Raman, convenor of Mahalakshmi Nagar Sai Samithi, said they organise free medical care for poor every Saturday and there is a book bank with thousands of books dealing with various subjects like arts, science and engineering.

He also stated that the community centre could be used as a marriage hall by the poor, free of cost. The samithi already has a free tuition centre.

The temple is located at:
Sai Brindavanam,
No. 10, Pradeep Avenue,
Thirumagal Nagar,
