Tamilnadu Arya Samaj Educational Society

The Tamilnadu Arya Samaj Educational Society is to commence the Mitra Junior Leadership Course for students in the age group of 9 to 15 shortly. It will be held on Saturdays from 1500 to 1730 hrs. at the institute for 12 sessions.

This course focusses on Communication Skills (Public Speaking), Memory, Self-Confidence, Attitudinal managements and Yoga.

The Tamil Nadu Arya Samaj Educational Society, Chennai, has been rendering yeomen service in the field of education since its inception. It has under its management eight educational institutions tutoring over 15,000 students in the name of DAV (Dayanand Anglo Vedic) School.

In order to diversify its services by training young men and women from the economically weaker section of the society for avocation and better employment opportunities 'Mitra' Leadership Course was inaugurated at the Dayanand Institute (a non-profit institution) by Jaidev, Secretary, DAV Group of Schools. 25 batches have been successfully conducted till date.

The subjects dealt with are:

* English Fluency and Communication Skill
* Goal setting
* Problem - Solving and Decision making
* Human Relation Principles
* Stress Management
* Anger Vaccination
* Inferiority Vaccination
* Time Management
* Memory Techniques
* Pathanjali Yoga - Basics and Meditation

The institute also offers courses like typing, shorthand, accountancy, commerce and computer awareness at a very nominal fee.

Mitra's Director C. Satish (Principal, D. A. V. Boys Secondary School, Gopalapuram) and his team have thus helped the economically weaker sections of the society. More than 1,000 participants have benefited from this programme.
