What
can one achieve in the first 45 days of one's life? For many
girls it's even a struggle to stay alive given the practice of
female infanticide. However, baby Akshitha can be proud of
herself though she will not be aware of her achievement. For
baby Akshitha is just 45 days old and has got a PAN card from
the Income-Tax department.
She doesn't know what a PAN card looks like
or what it is for but her parents wanted her to get into the
record books, applied for a card and got it too. Now, R B
Akshitha is the youngest PAN card holder in the country.
The earlier record was held by Krishhey
Thackeray of Mumbai on March 26, 2007. An Integral Coach Factory
staff in Chennai has got it for Akshitha now. S Balamurugan, the
ambitious father, wanted this record for his daughter Akshitha.
Balamurugan says, "I want to invest in mutual
funds and in the share market in my daughter's name, so I
applied for the same. On August 3, we received the card and are
very happy."
Akshitha is clearly unaware of all the fuss
around her and the waves she has created at this tender age.
Balamurugan opened a savings bank account for her on July 20.
The same day he applied for a pan card for Akshitha. There were
celebrations when the PAN card arrived on August 3.
Balamurugan now plans to invest good sums in
her name and hopes she will get the best returns.
