OST brought out the entire gamut of the raga Suruti in his exhaustive alapana. The melodious ‘Geetharthamu’ sung during Anjaneyar utsavam was rendered with finesse. The sedate swara passages were lilting.
M A Sundereswaran on the violin cast a magic spell on the audience with his mellifluous notes. Trichy Harikumar on the mridangam captivated the audience with his exemplary rhythmic patterns. V Suresh on the ghatam made us wonder how a clay pot can emanate such ethereal nadam. Their tani avarthanam was unforgettable.
