The Telengana state, the demand of the TRS in Andhra Pradesh, might not have been formed yet. However, the Taj group of hotels is not one to be left lagging behind or taken by surprise. A 'Telengana Food Fest' has been organised at Southern Spice, and this will be on till July 18.
This is a culinary journey through the hottest side of Andhra. The timid aloo, the bland baigan and even the mild-mannered mushroom now discover their wild side as the chefs whip up sizzling hot recipes straight out of Telengana, in a menu that is sure to set your imagination on fire.
Some of the signature dishes are Royalu Miriyali - prawns sauted with black pepper, Kodi Roast - typical Telengana fried chicken, Venchina Jeedi Pappu Mamsam - a spicy tender lamb preparation with cashewnuts, Preeta Mamsam Kura - lobster cooked with light Telengana spices, Sara Vankaya - all-time favourite eggplant dish, Bagara Mushroom Masala - tempered mushroom with Telengana spices, says Manojeet Bhujabak, sales manager.
So come and savour some tempered vegetables cooked with Telengana spices in Kai Bangara or chilli chicken tossed with Andhra seasoning in Telengana Kodi Kura. Steaming rice simmering seafood and tantalising thalis also await your tastebuds.
