Multivista Global Ltd was incorporated as a closely held public limited company, which consolidated all its various business operations as a single legal entity. As the name exemplifies, at the time, they got into diversified business (Multi), constantly exploring new business opportunities (Vista) and extending the reach to the world (Global). "In short, our motto has been to 'Do Business the Right Way' and now we have changed in size, in strength and in structure but our core value and sentiments have not changed," said Mani.

"In 1974, this division started off as a modest letter press and today ours is a world-class facility, and a fully equipped print house that's committed to providing cover-to-cover excellence. We started off with printing for leading FMCG companies, Government of India undertakings and banks for their brochures, balance sheets and promotional materials' requirement. As we expanded, we also diversified into a very high quality conscious market: The Publishing Industry.

"To meet the increasing demands of our customers, we have been investing in our printing and finishing machinery. Be it the first single colour machine from Heidelberg that we bought in 1982 to the latest in technology and first in kind Heidelberg speed master SM 74 in 1999 to the recent expansion with the latest Heidelberg SM 102 and CD 102 four colour machines to the Kolbus online binding machine, we have always understood the needs of our customers and constantly upgraded our technology to meet their demands."

Its clientele includes:

Oxford University press, Harcourt, Nelson Thomes, Pears on Education and Cambridge University Press

"We print and facilitate distribution of their books not only for the Indian market but also for countries in Asia and Africa, Far East, Australia, United States, United Kingdom, Canada and New Zealand."

Targeting a turnover of over Rs 75 crore in the current financial year and manpower strength of about 500 employees, it is a professionally-run, family-owned business organisation with a dedicated team of associates who are seen as an extension of the family, Mani added.

"Recently, we invested in a companywide implementation of SAP as our single platform ERP package, which connects all our divisions under one solid platform, and enhances the working efficiency of the organisation. This shows that we are a very strong, process-driven company. Our infrastructure is spread over our corporate office based in the heart of Chennai, state-of-the-art printing house and leather shoes manufacturing units set up aesthetically on the outskirts of Chennai and sales offices and warehouses spread across southern India to cover our industrial clients."
