Multivista Global Limited will shortly launch
its new, world-class, state-of-the-art printing unit at
Kelambakkam in suburban Chennai, with a spacious built-up area
of 1,25,000 sq ft and a production capacity of over 30 million
books per year. This comes at an investment of Rs 25 crore.
The unit is augmented with the latest
technology in printing, binding and auxiliary support machines
and a committed workforce with technical expertise that provide
a world-class product to our customers globally, its chairman
and managing director R S Mani said in Chennai.
"Our printing facility is an ISO 9001:2001
(certified by TUV) certified company, which ensures high level
of process control, quality control and continuous improvement
initiatives which ensures that we always produce the best
products for our clients. We see it as a binding commitment in
every book that gets printed in our facility," he added.
Multivista Global Ltd was incorporated as a
closely held public limited company, which consolidated all its
various business operations as a single legal entity. As the
name exemplifies, at the time, they got into diversified
business (Multi), constantly exploring new business
opportunities (Vista) and extending the reach to the world
(Global). "In short, our motto has been to 'Do Business the
Right Way' and now we have changed in size, in strength and in
structure but our core value and sentiments have not changed,"
said Mani.
"In 1974, this division started off as a
modest letter press and today ours is a world-class facility,
and a fully equipped print house that's committed to providing
cover-to-cover excellence. We started off with printing for
leading FMCG companies, Government of India undertakings and
banks for their brochures, balance sheets and promotional
materials' requirement. As we expanded, we also diversified into
a very high quality conscious market: The Publishing Industry.
"To meet the increasing demands of our
customers, we have been investing in our printing and finishing
machinery. Be it the first single colour machine from Heidelberg
that we bought in 1982 to the latest in technology and first in
kind Heidelberg speed master SM 74 in 1999 to the recent
expansion with the latest Heidelberg SM 102 and CD 102 four
colour machines to the Kolbus online binding machine, we have
always understood the needs of our customers and constantly
upgraded our technology to meet their demands."

"We print and facilitate distribution of
their books not only for the Indian market but also for
countries in Asia and Africa, Far East, Australia, United
States, United Kingdom, Canada and New Zealand."
Targeting a turnover of over Rs 75 crore in
the current financial year and manpower strength of about 500
employees, it is a professionally-run, family-owned business
organisation with a dedicated team of associates who are seen as
an extension of the family, Mani added.
"Recently, we invested in a companywide
implementation of SAP as our single platform ERP package, which
connects all our divisions under one solid platform, and
enhances the working efficiency of the organisation. This shows

infrastructure is spread over our corporate office based in the
heart of Chennai, state-of-the-art printing house and leather
shoes manufacturing units set up aesthetically on the outskirts
of Chennai and sales offices and warehouses spread across

The company's three strategic business units
include print solutions, distribution of industrial products and
services, leather shoe manufacturing.
