The monthly concerts of the Sri Sumukhi Rajasekharan Memorial
Foundation is to be held this Saturday December 1, 2007.
'Kala Poshakam', which is what the Mylapore Trio, the
organisers, call the monthly concerts, is to be held at Sri
Dakshinamurthy Auditorium, P S Higher Secondary School, R K Mutt
Road, Mylapore, Chennai - 600 004.
The performers are:
1. R Swetha – Bharatanatyam
(Disciple of Sasirekha Raammohan)
2. Sruthy Anand – Bharatanatyam
(Disciple of Sasirekha Raammohan)
3. G Nivedithaa & Shruthi Raammohan – Carnatic Music (Duet)
(Disciples of Saroja Balasubramaniyam)
Kala Poshakam gives an opportunity to budding artistes and
unrecognised seniors to showcase their talent, adds the note
from the organisers, S Amarnath, S Surendranath and S Aparna.
"All are welcome in traditional attire to the programme that
starts at 5.30 p.m.," says the Trio.
